Why Thanya Legal
Legal support that is thoughtful rather than transactional
When a pension matter feels urgent or uncertain, the quality of legal support makes a real difference. Here is what we believe distinguishes the way we work.
Return to HomeWhat We Offer
Six reasons clients come to Thanya Legal
Pension law specialism
We practise in one area only, which means we know it thoroughly — the legislation, the regulatory bodies, and the practical realities.
Unhurried guidance
We do not work to a pace that suits us at the expense of you. Decisions about pension matters deserve careful thought, and we allow for that.
Published, fixed pricing
Our service fees are stated clearly: ฿7,400, ฿10,900, and ฿13,700. You know what you are agreeing to before any work begins.
Professional confidentiality
Everything shared with us is protected by legal professional privilege and Thailand's PDPA requirements. Your situation remains private.
Plain English throughout
We explain each stage in clear, accessible language. If you do not understand something we have said, ask — that is what we are here for.
Bangkok presence
Based in Chatuchak, we understand the Thai regulatory landscape. We also assist clients located outside Bangkok via telephone and video.
Expertise
Twelve years, one area of law
General legal practitioners handle dozens of different matters. We do not. For over twelve years, Thanya Legal has worked exclusively in pension law within the Thai jurisdiction — the Social Security Act, the Provident Fund Act, private scheme disputes, and international entitlement questions for expatriates and returning nationals. That concentration produces a quality of familiarity that broad practice cannot replicate.
- Registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand
- Ongoing professional development in pension legislation
- Direct experience with Social Security Office procedures
"Concentration in a single area produces a quality of familiarity that broad practice cannot replicate. When a pension question arises, we already know the framework."
— Thanya Legal Practice Notes
"We will not charge you for conversations needed to help you understand the situation. The initial consultation fee covers the time required to listen properly."

Service Approach
No pressure to decide quickly
Some legal practices push toward decisions because rapid turnover suits them. We do not operate that way. When someone comes to us with a pension concern, they are often carrying uncertainty they have been managing for some time. A rushed conversation rarely serves them well. We structure our services so that clients can start with a consultation, understand their position, and then decide whether — and how — to proceed further.
- Initial consultation carries no commitment to further engagement
- Time between stages is entirely your choice
- No artificial urgency is created
Pricing
Fixed fees, stated clearly in advance
Legal costs are a genuine concern for many people approaching any service. We address this by publishing our fees openly and applying them without variation: the initial consultation is ฿7,400, documentation assistance is ฿10,900, and case representation is ฿13,700. For representation matters, any costs beyond the fixed fee are discussed and agreed before they are incurred. There are no surprise invoices.
- All fees published and fixed
- Additional costs pre-agreed in writing
- Invoices match what was agreed
All fees are inclusive. Additional costs require prior written agreement.
- Updates provided whenever there is something meaningful to report
- Available by phone and email between updates
- Written summaries provided after significant steps
Communication
No unexplained silences
One of the most common frustrations people report with legal services is not hearing anything for long periods without understanding why. We commit to keeping you informed at meaningful intervals — which means when there is something worth telling you. We do not send superficial updates simply to appear active, but we do respond to your questions promptly and keep records of what has been communicated.
Results
A focus on outcomes that are realistic and well-prepared
We do not make promises about the outcome of any pension matter, because the outcome depends on facts, regulations, and decisions that are not entirely within our control. What we can commit to is the quality of preparation: cases that are thoroughly researched, documents that are carefully drafted, and positions that are presented clearly and completely. That quality of preparation gives a matter the best conditions for a favourable resolution.

How We Compare
Thanya Legal vs. a general legal practitioner
General practice has its place. But when a matter is specifically about pensions, the difference in familiarity with the subject can matter considerably.

What Sets Us Apart
A few things we do that are not always standard
A standing conversation panel
Before formal engagement begins, we offer a preparatory call at no additional charge for clients who would like to ask basic questions about what working with us involves. This is separate from the paid consultation and is simply a courtesy.
English and Thai documentation
We prepare correspondence and submissions in the language required by the receiving body, and provide clients with explanatory summaries in English. International clients are not disadvantaged by language requirements.
Organised record-keeping on your behalf
For documentation and representation engagements, we maintain an organised record of all correspondence, submissions, and decisions on your behalf. This is made available to you throughout and at the conclusion of the matter.
Flexible meeting arrangements
Our Chatuchak office is available for in-person meetings. For those who prefer or require it, we conduct equally thorough consultations by telephone and video call — there is no reduction in the quality of service for remote clients.
