Pension concerns handled with patience and care
When questions about your pension feel uncertain or pressing, it helps to speak with someone who listens carefully and explains things plainly. We work at a pace that suits you.
What We Offer
Three ways we may be of assistance
Each matter is different. We have designed our services so that you can choose what fits your situation, without committing to more than you need.
Initial Pension Consultation
A calm, confidential first conversation to understand your pension situation and the questions worrying you. We listen carefully, explain the relevant points in plain language, and suggest where things might reasonably go from here. There is no pressure to proceed beyond this conversation.
- Tailored to your individual circumstances
- Plain-language explanation throughout
- No obligation to continue beyond
Documentation & Correspondence
Practical help preparing letters, forms, and supporting records when responding to a pension authority or fund. We make sure your position is set out clearly and respectfully, and we keep copies organised on your behalf. We work to your timetable, not ours.
- Careful drafting and review of all documents
- Organised record-keeping on your behalf
- Proceeds at a pace that suits you
Comprehensive Case Representation
Full support for matters that require formal steps, including preparation of submissions, liaison with the relevant bodies, and representation through to a resolution. We keep you informed and involved throughout, explaining each decision in advance. Best for involved or prolonged situations.
- End-to-end case handling
- Terms discussed openly before engagement
- Kept informed at every stage
Why Thanya Legal
What you can expect when you come to us
We listen before we advise
Every pension situation has its own history. We take time to understand yours before offering any view on where matters stand or what might be done.
Plain language, always
Legal terminology can make already difficult situations feel more daunting. We explain things clearly, in English, without unnecessary complexity.
No pressure on timing
Decisions about pension matters benefit from careful thought. We never push for quick decisions and are happy to answer questions at whatever pace feels comfortable.
Complete discretion
Pension concerns are personal. Everything discussed in our chambers remains strictly confidential, as a matter of professional obligation and simple respect.
Based in Bangkok, Thailand
We are familiar with the Thai regulatory environment and the concerns that expatriates and local residents alike face when dealing with pension authorities and funds.
Transparent from the start
We discuss what involvement will mean in terms of time, process, and cost before any engagement begins. There are no hidden steps and no unexplained charges.
Would a quiet conversation help clarify things?
You are welcome to reach out whenever you are ready. There is no requirement to have everything figured out beforehand — that is precisely what we are here to help with.

Questions
Things people often ask us
What kinds of pension matters do you handle?
We assist with a range of matters related to pension entitlements, including disputes with pension funds or providers, questions about accessing pension savings, understanding statements and correspondence from pension authorities, and preparing formal responses or submissions. If you are unsure whether your concern falls within what we do, please feel free to call or write — we are happy to have a brief initial conversation at no charge.
Do I need to have all my documents ready before contacting you?
Not at all. Many people come to us before they have gathered everything together — sometimes because they are not sure what documents are relevant. Our initial consultation is designed precisely for situations where the picture is still forming. Bring what you have, and we will help identify what else might be useful.
How long does a typical matter take to resolve?
It depends considerably on the nature of the matter. A straightforward documentation matter might be concluded within a few weeks. A more involved case requiring formal submissions and liaison with pension bodies can take several months. We will give you a candid view of the likely timeline once we understand your situation, and we will keep you informed as things progress.
What are the costs, and are there any additional fees?
Our services are listed at ฿7,400 for an initial consultation, ฿10,900 for documentation and correspondence assistance, and ฿13,700 for comprehensive case representation. For case representation matters, we discuss the full scope and any additional costs openly before work begins. We do not add fees without prior agreement.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Everything you share with us is treated with complete confidentiality. We hold information in accordance with our professional obligations and applicable Thai data protection standards. Nothing is shared with third parties without your knowledge and agreement, except where the law requires it.
Can I arrange a meeting in person at your Bangkok office?
Yes, we welcome in-person meetings at our Chatuchak office. We also offer consultations by telephone and video call for those who prefer or who are not in Bangkok. Please contact us to arrange whichever format works best for you.
